How much does a website cost in Quebec in 2026?

Based on published prices, a professionally built 5-page small business website in Quebec costs roughly $1,000 to $5,000, and subscription sites run from $490 a year to $390 a month. Below are the real numbers, linked to each company's own page, plus the costs that show up after launch.

Published website prices in Quebec, lowest to highest

Most Quebec web agencies publish no prices at all. I collected the ones that do and reopened every page on October 10, 2026 to confirm the figure. All amounts are in Canadian dollars, before tax.

Company Published price Model What the page specifies
Lannkin $99 a month on the home page; $199 to $390 a month on the pricing page Subscription Hosting included; 3 to 9 pages depending on the plan
Tremaweb $490 a year Annual subscription, no contract 5 pages, hosting, email, Google Business Profile set up, domain included the first year
Nixi from $880 (one page), $1,480 (multi-page) One-time Hosting not specified
Jinnove $1,000 to $3,000 Market range quoted in an article 5-page showcase site
Always Booked $1,500 One-time Up to 5 pages, French and English, copy written for you, online booking or quote requests
DevCorp Media from $1,600 One-time 20 hours of work, 2 French and 2 English pages, logo
H1Site from $2,500 One-time Bilingual showcase site; $3,500 to $6,000 with booking or online sales
Agence Minimal $3,000 to $25,000 Indicative range Website builds by Laval agencies
Digitad from $4,440 One-time A "small website"

Two notes. Lannkin's home page shows $99 a month while its pricing page starts at $199, so ask which one applies before you sign. And $1,500 sits below every price published by an agency in this list (H1Site, Agence Minimal, Digitad), but above the entry-level options such as Nixi's one-page site or Tremaweb's yearly plan.

What drives the price

Five things set the price of a small business website. Here they are in the order that matters most for a local, owner-run business.

  1. Features. A basic contact form costs little. Online booking, a multi-step quote form or online payments push the price up: H1Site goes from $2,500 to a $3,500 to $6,000 range as soon as booking or sales are involved.
  2. Template or custom. Jinnove prices a template-based site at $1,000 to $3,000 and a custom WordPress build from $5,000.
  3. Languages. According to H1Site's price guide, a multilingual version adds 50 to 100% to the cost. In Quebec, French is not optional: the OQLF treats a business website as a commercial publication that must exist in French (OQLF letter, March 2025). An English-only site is not a cheaper version of the same thing.
  4. Who writes the copy. A quote that assumes you supply all the text looks cheaper. The hours spent writing are yours.
  5. Hourly rate. Agence Minimal puts Laval agencies at $75 to $200 an hour. The same 20-hour project can cost very different amounts.

The costs that come after launch

The build is only the first invoice. Here is what the recurring items cost, based on published prices.

Item Published price Note
.ca domain US$11.98 the first year, US$14.98 on renewal Should be registered in your business's name
WordPress hosting CA$4.19 a month on a 48-month prepaid term, then CA$15.39 a month on renewal The intro price does not last
Website builder US$17.77 a month (Light) to US$29.77 a month (Core), billed yearly Wix shows USD prices for reference; yours vary by location
Maintenance $50 to $300 a month Range from H1Site's guide
Changes outside the plan $75 an hour at Tremaweb Ask for the rate before signing

Run the numbers over three years, not on the first invoice. My French article on subscription versus one-time purchase does that math with the prices above.

How to compare two quotes

Put the quotes side by side and ask these nine questions. A quote that does not answer one of them in writing is not comparable.

  1. How many pages, and which ones exactly?
  2. How many pages in French and how many in English?
  3. Who writes the copy?
  4. Is the domain registered in your name?
  5. If you stop paying, do you keep the site, the files and the domain?
  6. Is hosting included, and what does it cost on renewal?
  7. How many rounds of revisions?
  8. Are the forms and the privacy policy in scope? Quebec's Law 25 requires a published privacy policy as soon as your site collects personal information.
  9. What is the payment schedule? Jinnove says a 30 to 50% deposit is common.

Question 5 is the one that costs the most when it is skipped. On the pages I reviewed, neither Lannkin nor Tremaweb says what happens to the site if you cancel.

What budget to plan for

A simple rule drawn from the table:

  • Under $1,000. A one-page site, or a builder you set up yourself. Fine for testing an idea, but you write everything and you own the upkeep.
  • $1,500 to $3,000. A 5-page showcase site built by a professional, bilingual, with a form or online booking. This is where most plumbers, clinics, salons and studios land.
  • $3,500 and up. Online sales, several locations, custom integrations, or an agency team with a project manager.

If you are choosing between an agency and a freelancer at the same budget, my guide on agency or freelancer covers the trade-offs.

Where Always Booked fits

Always Booked charges $1,500, once, for up to 5 pages designed for your brand, in French and English, with the copy written for you, online booking or quote requests, your Google reviews on the site and two rounds of revisions. The domain is registered in your name and you keep everything if we stop working together. Hosting and upkeep are available at $150 a month, month to month, and you are free to host elsewhere. The full scope is on the websites page.

Questions

Why don't most web agencies list their prices?

Their projects vary widely in size, and a public price attracts enquiries outside their range. For you, that means asking for a written price or at least a range before you book a discovery meeting.

Can a $1,500 website be bilingual?

Yes, if the quote says so. H1Site includes French and English from $2,500, and DevCorp Media's $1,600 package has two pages per language. Always count the pages in each language, not just the total.

Do these prices include tax?

No. The prices in the table are before tax, as Nixi and Lannkin state on their pages. Add GST and QST to every number when you compare.

Should I pay the full amount up front?

Rarely. Jinnove describes a 30 to 50% deposit as typical, with the balance due on delivery or launch. Be wary of a full payment demanded before you have seen any design.
